LA VALSE DU TEMPS is a high-fashion editorial production for Citizen K International, blending 18th-century court aesthetics with contemporary design. The project centers on a series of elaborate, sculptural silhouettes that reimagine historical dress through modern textiles like denim, mesh, and sheer layering. Photographed by Emma PICQ and Laurent Dombrowicz, the visuals rely on a distinct fusion of minimalist studio compositions and opulent, neoclassical interior settings. Creative director Bambi Kappauf orchestrates a dramatic, theatrical vision supported by the intricate work of hair stylist Massa YAHIRO, who crafted the collection's signature towering powdered bouffants. Makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds reinforces the historical-fusion theme with precise, bold applications. The editorial leans into a low-key chiaroscuro and clean, soft-light aesthetic, balancing the intricate textures of embroidery and lace against symmetrical, period-inspired wall moldings.
