Archetypal is a high-contrast editorial campaign for Carnale Room, showcasing a series of monochromatic fashion portraits that prioritize form, texture, and silhouette. Photographer Giampaolo Sgura captures models Birgit Kos and Maxime Laval within a minimalist studio environment, utilizing soft, directional lighting and low-key chiaroscuro techniques to emphasize the interplay between the subjects and their garments. The project leans into avant-garde and retro aesthetics, featuring structural couture pieces, layered ruffles, and intricate tailoring. Fashion editor and stylist Lorenzo Posocco drives the visual narrative, which is further refined by the hair styling of Franco Gobbi and the precise makeup application of Jury Schiavi. Through a clean, graphic lens, the series focuses on the technical nuances of garment volume and facial contouring.
