Camperlab
Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Sep 2024
The Camperlab Fall 2024 ad campaign serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, masterfully balancing raw, high-contrast imagery with the label's signature avant-garde footwear. Under the sharp creative direction of Achilles Ion Gabriel, the project leans into a cinematic visual language that emphasizes material texture and bold, graphic shapes. Photographer Jordan Hemingway captures the essence of the collection through a series of portraits and product studies that utilize intentional studio strobe lighting to elevate everyday materials. The imagery features a striking ensemble cast, including Sven Marquardt, Duckwrth, Inge Grognard, and Raya Martigny, each contributing to an aesthetic that feels both deliberate and raw. The campaign excels in its use of vibrant, solid backgrounds—ranging from deep reds to muted, painterly greens—which provide a stark, high-contrast backdrop for the tactile details of crocodile-effect leathers and distressed denim. By integrating specific techniques like low-key chiaroscuro and clean studio photography, the project bridges the gap between commercial appeal and artistic expression. The footwear itself is treated as a sculptural object, showcased with a surreal, experimental sensibility that defines the current evolution of luxury fashion houses. This campaign successfully synthesizes portraiture and product photography, creating a cohesive, immersive world that reinforces Camperlab’s reputation for challenging traditional design boundaries through a lens of modern, uncompromising creative energy.
