Bottega Veneta
Winter Solstice 2024 Ad Campaign

Nov 2024
The Winter Solstice 2024 campaign for Bottega Veneta serves as a masterclass in editorial minimalism, seamlessly blending architectural precision with the house’s signature tactile luxury. Under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy, the campaign adopts a deliberate, symmetrical aesthetic that allows the intricate craftsmanship of the brand’s intrecciato leatherwork and seasonal textiles to take center stage. Captured with a nuanced eye by photographers Louise and Maria Thornfeldt, the imagery relies heavily on soft, natural light to emphasize the rich textures of shearling, tweed, and shimmering gold sequins against a backdrop of curated, heritage-inspired interiors. The campaign features a diverse ensemble of models, including Annabel Van Tilborg, Hedi Ben Tekaya, and Lina Zhang, whose direct, neutral gazes anchor the compositions, creating a grounded yet elevated atmosphere. With impeccable hair styling by Duffy and artistry from makeup legend Pat McGrath, the project avoids the noise of traditional commercial fashion photography in favor of a refined, rhythmic visual language. By positioning garments as sculptural forms within these domestic and industrial settings, Blazy elevates the everyday into an exploration of material contrast. From the interplay of wood grain and marble to the unexpected pairings of vibrant floral prints and metallic accessories, the campaign reads as a sophisticated dialogue between the classic and the contemporary, reinforcing the brand's enduring commitment to understated opulence.
