Bottega Veneta
Spring 2025 Ad Campaign

Mar 2025
For the Bottega Veneta Spring 2025 ad campaign, creative director Matthieu Blazy leans into a surrealist dialogue between high-fashion rigor and whimsical domesticity. Shot by photographer Sander Houthuys, the campaign manifests an editorial narrative where tailored, architectural silhouettes meet oversized, animal-shaped beanbag furniture—rabbits, chickens, and elephants rendered in soft, matte textures. This striking juxtaposition, brought to life through a balanced blend of studio strobe lighting and natural light, creates an atmosphere of polished, avant-garde playfulness. The collection’s focus on exquisite craftsmanship, from woven leather handbags to intricate floral appliques, is grounded against austere, industrial settings of distressed concrete and warm, minimalist wood-panelling. The casting, curated by Anita Bitton, features a diverse ensemble including Natasha Poly and Anok Yai, whose poised, deliberate movements amplify the collection’s structural depth. With artful hair by Duffy and makeup by Pat McGrath, the imagery reads as a masterclass in modern luxury, utilizing live-action technique to breathe life into the surreal environment. This project successfully channels a sophisticated, conceptually driven aesthetic, proving that Bottega Veneta remains a definitive leader in contemporary fashion imagery by consistently blurring the lines between functional wardrobe essentials and pure, sculptural art pieces.
