Bottega Veneta
FANZINE 001 BY LOUISE TROTTER

Feb 2026
FANZINE 001 by Louise Trotter for Bottega Veneta serves as a masterclass in the intersection of tactile luxury and architectural fashion design. This project functions as an expansive editorial showcase, stripping away the superfluous to center the viewer on the intimate details of construction and textile. Through the lens of photographer Lucrezia Ganazzoli, the campaign leans into a rigorous, minimalist aesthetic that feels both urgent and timeless. The imagery relies on the precision of studio strobe lighting and soft, natural light to elevate the house's iconic woven leather, structured tailoring, and experimental silhouettes. With art direction from Peter Miles and fashion editing by Suzanne Koller, the series employs a high-key, portrait-focused approach that demands a close inspection of material quality. Casting director Anita Bitton assembles a diverse ensemble of talent, including Anok Yai, Caitlin Soetendal, Lina Zhang, Rebecca Leigh Longendyke, and Yilan Hua, whose steady, direct gazes ground the avant-garde garments in a stark, clean reality. The project succeeds by transforming high-fashion editorial portraiture into a study of form and volume, where macro views of fringe and textured weaves dialogue directly with the human form. By focusing on the interplay of high-contrast light and shadow, the Fanzine transforms the brand's identity into something intensely physical and sculptural, perfectly aligning with the label's reputation for refined, complex craftsmanship.
