Boags explores a rugged, period-inspired narrative in their commercial spot, Russel Falls. The piece follows a group of men working cooperatively to transport wooden barrels along a lakeside, culminating in a sequence where a solitary figure navigates the water inside a barrel while a piano is played on a nearby raft. The production, supported by creative work from Publicis Mojo Sydney and filming by Revolver, relies on a distinct cinematic aesthetic. With post-production and VFX handled by Fin Design + Effects, the work utilizes live-action techniques, defined by a desaturated color palette and soft, overcast natural lighting to ground the scene in its historical setting.
