BIG TIME MUSICALITY is a fashion editorial series for SHADOWPLAY Magazine, helmed by photographer Sieme Hermans. The project explores theatricality and character-driven portraiture, set against a backdrop of weathered architecture, stained glass, and industrial spaces. Working with makeup artist Sanne Schoofs, the series employs avant-garde styling—incorporating feathered headdresses, ornate masks, and elaborate fabric layering—to frame the subject through a lens of classic, analogue-inspired photography. The visuals lean into gritty textures, chiaroscuro lighting, and warm, nostalgic color palettes to create a cinematic and atmospheric narrative.
