Beyond Noise Issue 5 marks a masterclass in editorial minimalism, showcasing a high-fashion series that leans into the stark beauty of architectural forms. Captured by photographers Louise & Maria Thornfeldt, the project serves as a definitive exploration of luxury fashion, emphasizing clean lines and precise silhouettes. The series features model FeiFei Sun, whose direct, neutral gaze grounds the elaborate garments—ranging from voluminous feathered gowns and structured leather coats to delicate lace dresses—within a clinical, high-key studio environment. Stylist Alice Lefons curates a sharp visual language that favors bold monochrome palettes and tactile fabric textures, all of which are brought into focus through the intentional use of studio strobe lighting. The imagery utilizes a range of studio techniques, including natural light accents and high-key backgrounds, to create a sense of suspended time and avant-garde composition. With additional creative contributions from hair stylist David Harborow and makeup artist Rebecca Wordingham, the aesthetic remains taut and refined, stripping away artifice to highlight the interplay between fabric, shadow, and skin.
