Description

For their latest broadcast project, 'Ladder To You,' the BBC partnered with production studio EYEBOLLS to develop a character-driven animated short. The piece centers on a portrait of an elderly woman, framed within a tactile, multi-dimensional setting that mimics the appearance of handcrafted papercraft. The animation utilizes a stop-motion aesthetic, setting the character against a pastoral landscape. By blending 3D render and CGI techniques with a warm, nostalgic visual palette, the work emphasizes texture and depth. The final output is a cinematic character portrait that focuses on soft, natural lighting and detailed art direction.
