Atmos Magazine presents MICRO / MACRO, an editorial feature that juxtaposes the vastness of the cosmos with the intricate details of biological structures. Through a collection of double-page spreads, the project transitions between high-magnification photomicrography and wide-field astrophotography, creating a visual dialogue between scientific exploration and natural wonder. The layout design employs a clean grid system, balancing scientific essays on subjects like space treaties and planetary colonization with minimalist typography. Captured by photographer Michael Hauptman, the series utilizes techniques including analogue film, macro photography, and high-contrast monochrome printing to emphasize textural depth and cosmic scale.
