Among Equals is a documentary and editorial photography project documenting local daily life and traditional craftsmanship. The series captures portraits and candid scenes across rural landscapes, highlighting the integration of intricate handmade textiles and woven bags within daily routines. The project employs an analogue film aesthetic, utilizing natural light to draw out the rich, earthy textures of the subjects' patterned garments and woven accessories. Through a series of observational frames, the imagery emphasizes a tactile, candid approach to storytelling against the backdrop of mountainous terrain and rustic settings. Photographed by Hannah Scott-Stevenson and Justin Woo, the work channels a desaturated, documentary style to maintain a focus on the human subject and the woven crafts featured throughout the series.
