AnOther Man Magazine
Penhaligons Special

May 2026
For the latest collaboration between AnOther Man Magazine and the heritage fragrance house Penhaligons, photographer Winter Vandenbrink delivers a masterclass in editorial minimalism. This luxury fashion feature pivots away from the ornate excess often associated with classic perfumery, instead leaning into a stripped-back, architectural aesthetic that highlights the raw textures of modern menswear. Through a sequence of high-contrast black and white portraits alongside soft-focus, natural light color captures, the project effectively juxtaposes the softness of faux-fur and knitwear against the rigid, clean lines of indoor staircases and minimalist interiors. Fashion editor and stylist Ola Ebiti grounds the editorial in a contemporary vernacular, selecting garments that prioritize tactile quality and silhouette. The casting, overseen by Bert Martirosyan, features model Mack Karpes, whose presence anchors the narrative with a neutral, intense focus that complements the understated art direction. The creative vision is further elevated by the deliberate, subtle hair styling of Matt Mulhall and refined grooming by Crystabel Efemena Riley, both of whom emphasize a natural, effortless look. By utilizing deliberate light leaks and shallow depth of field, the imagery transcends traditional product-focused advertising, instead presenting a mood-driven, atmospheric story that resonates with the high-fashion sensibilities of AnOther Man. It is a disciplined, sophisticated exploration of style where the environment and the subject exist in a perfectly balanced, silent dialogue, solidifying a fresh visual identity for the brand.
