For 'The Get,' American Vogue presents a high-fashion exploration of alpine sportswear transposed into the urban landscape. Photographer Larissa Hofmann and fashion editor Tom Guinness collide technical ski gear with city-centric tailoring, utilizing hard light and graphic compositions to frame their subjects against both Brutalist concrete and waterfront vistas. The editorial series features model Angelina Kendall alongside a cast that navigates the contrast between high-altitude performance equipment and everyday metropolitan life. Through techniques including analogue film, clean framing, and strategic visual effects, the project captures a sense of surreal kinetic energy, such as a skier suspended mid-flight above modern skyscrapers. Set design by Afra Zamara adds tactile depth, while hair by Shiori Takahashi and makeup by Thom Walker complete the polished, saturated aesthetic.
