72 Magazine presents The Surreal Life, a fashion editorial series that explores the intersection of high-concept design and classical European architecture. Captured by photographer Sean Thomas, the project features model Adut Akech styled by Dena Giannini, utilizing expansive, historic public squares and ornate interior spaces to frame sculptural garments. The series leans into editorial aesthetics, favoring the texture and depth of analogue / film photography. Through a mix of high-contrast natural light and intentional low-key / chiaroscuro techniques, the imagery highlights the interplay between fluid, billowing fabrics and rigid, architectural surroundings.
