Turkina Faso, a talented photographer originally from Russia and now based in London, has made a significant mark in the contemporary art scene, notably earning a spot in Numero Russia's 'Top 17 of 2017.' In 2009, she completed her studies at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow, followed by a degree in art journalism from the Institute of Journalism and Literature in 2011. Her pursuit of creativity led her to the prestigious University of the Arts London, where she graduated with an MA in Fashion Photography in 2016. During her studies, she produced two compelling final projects, one of which, ‘MEandTHEM: Back Home with Alice,’ garnered attention and accolades from esteemed publications such as the British Journal of Photography, Vogue Italia, and i-D magazine. Focusing her artistic and research endeavors on the intricate relationships between nature, humanity, and the perception of reality, Turkina’s work invites viewers to engage in deeper contemplation of their surroundings. Her distinctive vision has attracted collaborations with high-profile clients, including Vogue UK, Vogue China, The Greatest Magazine, Numero Russia, Mulberry, Bvlgari, and Peter Pilotto, among many others. Through her lens, Turkina Faso continues to explore and challenge the boundaries of photography and art.
