Bio

Every photographer remembers the shoot that changed their life. For Jamie Green, it was Cody Simpson for GQ. “This was my first big editorial, it signified a moment in history for me as my career changed, and I fell in love with shooting personalities,” he says. Indeed, shooting personalities has become something of a passion for Jamie, who effortlessly puts his subject at ease. Creating a relaxed vibe on set, where his subjects can be themselves is key. “I thrive on the team, an image takes the best of everyone,” he says. Equally comfortable shooting fashion, Jamie’s commercial clients include Victoria’s Secret, Netflix, Zara and Puma. Yet, it is exploring the world that is his greatest passion. “Travelling feeds my soul. I love new experiences, smells and sounds.” My signature aesthetic is…Nostalgic. Iconic. Connection with subject. You may have seen my work in…GQ Australia, Vogue Australia, Vogue Hong Kong, If I could shoot an editorial of anyone, living or dead, it would be…Quentin Tarantino, on the set of his next movie. My favourite location to shoot is…Morocco, I have a real connection with the place, it’s very stimulating. My muse is… My wife, she has the sweetest soul on this earth. My favourite part of the job is…It’s different every day. If I weren’t a photographer, I’d be… a nomad!
