James Marcus Haney is a dynamic LA native whose life on the road fuels his artistry. His deep-seated love for travel, human connection, and music infuses his commercial work with a unique blend of playfulness, spontaneity, and raw intimacy, creating images that resonate on multiple levels. In 2014, Haney captivated audiences with his feature-length documentary, *No Cameras Allowed*, released through MTV. This compelling film chronicles his unexpected journey into photography and directing, sparked by a daring leap over the fence at the iconic Coachella festival. The film's success opened doors for him, leading to a memorable guest appearance on *Conan O'Brien* and fruitful collaborations with renowned artists such as Coldplay and Mumford & Sons. Haney continued to explore the intersection of music and storytelling with his 2015 film, *Austin to Boston*, while also crafting impactful advertising campaigns for major brands including Starbucks, Google, Spotify, Bacardi, Subway, and Havana Club. Beyond commercial endeavors, he is committed to social causes, having traveled extensively through the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, and Jordan with the charity War Child. Currently, Haney is immersed in a poignant film and photography project that follows the Central American migrant caravan on its arduous journey to the U.S. border, further solidifying his dedication to capturing the human experience in all its complexity.
