Artists Equity is an independent, artist-led studio reimagining the relationship between talent, studio, and distributor. We prioritize and partner with creators through an innovative business model, so that all can truly participate and realize the value they bring to a project. Artists Equity was co-founded by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Gerry Cardinale of RedBird Capital in November 2022. Artists Equity has released several successful films, documentaries, and advertising campaigns. Its debut film, Air, starring Damon and Affleck alongside Jason Bateman and Viola Davis, released in 2023 to critical and commercial success. Since then, Artists Equity’s films have included Unstoppable, starring Jharrel Jerome and Jennifer Lopez, The Instigators, starring Damon and Casey Affleck, and the Cillian Murphy-led Small Things Like These, as well as acclaimed documentaries Kiss the Future and The Greatest Love Story Never Told. The company has major advertising partnerships with brands including Dunkin’ and Stella Artois, producing Super Bowl ads and more through Artists Equity Advertising, a division of the company.
