About

This macro photograph by Sydney-based photographer Danny Eastwood features a single wilted pale pink rose isolated against a solid dark background. The delicate, ruffled petals show dry textures and curling edges indicative of decay, contrasted sharply by the deep black void surrounding the blossom. A thin stem extends downward from the flower head, creating a vertical focal point. The lighting illuminates the soft tones of the rose while keeping the background entirely in shadow, emphasizing the intricate botanical details.
