About

This striking still life photograph captured by Dieu Tan in Sydney features a lush, dynamic floral arrangement in a clear ribbed glass vase. The composition brings together a rich variety of blossoms, including deep burgundy calla lilies, vibrant purple chrysanthemums, dark red orchids, and pale cream roses. Dramatic chiaroscuro lighting highlights the varied textures and saturated jewel tones of the petals against a stark black background. Fallen petals rest on the dark surface below the vase, adding a sense of natural impermanence to the staged arrangement.
