Toby Mcfarlan Pond, Photographer, New York

Description

This still life photograph by Toby Mcfarlan Pond features an open vintage trunk resting on a reflective floor. Slender metallic stems topped with golden leaves emerge from the interior of the chest, creating an unexpected botanical sculpture. The background consists of large, pleated fan-shaped panels arranged in geometric radiating patterns. The color palette centers on warm metallic tones, rust orange, and deep burgundies, creating a rich theatrical atmosphere. The lighting is direct and warm, highlighting the metallic textures of the plant and hardware while casting soft reflections on the floor below.
