Description

This stop-motion video project for Jordan titled Shattered Backboard opens on a miniature puppet theater stage with draped red velvet curtains. As the curtains part, a hand-painted pastoral backdrop depicts rolling green hills, a winding country road, and distant mountains. The scene transitions into an elaborate handmade arena populated by miniature spectator puppets cheering from the bleachers. Crafted puppets representing basketball players and referees interact on the court with meticulous attention to miniature details, textures, and nostalgic film grading. Created by Elsewhere Films and Doubleday & Cartwright with music and sound by Machine, the film blends handcrafted artistry with sporting heritage.
