Description

An action-focused photograph by Pete Thompson captures a joyful moment during a marathon race. A smiling black woman with braided hair and a headband raises both arms in celebration as confetti falls around her. She wears a black athletic tank top and shorts with a race bib attached. Running close behind her is another participant wearing glasses, a headband, and a bright neon green jacket over dark clothing. The background shows a crowd of blurred runners along a city street under bright natural daylight.
