Description

A man with grey hair is seated on a grey tufted sofa in an elaborately decorated interior space. He wears a dark shirt and trousers, resting his hands together while looking toward the camera. To his left stands a large white vase overflowing with white orchids, reflected in an ornate mirror behind it. A table lamp with a pleated white shade sits on a mantelpiece or side table next to him. On the right wall hangs a large classical painting featuring figures in a traditional style. The room combines rich textures including wood furniture, decorative mouldings, and soft furnishings.
