Description

This black and white photograph captures a single flower nestled among dense, tall blades of grass and foliage. The image was photographed by Donavon Smallwood as part of the Monet's Garden project for WSJ. The monochrome palette emphasizes the contrasting textures of the delicate petals and the surrounding wild grass. Natural light illuminates the scene, highlighting the organic forms within the dense vegetation.
