Manon Diemer, Illustrator, Paris

Description

This digital illustration by Paris-based illustrator Manon Diemer portrays a large cargo ship engulfed in bright flames and a dense, towering plume of purple and yellow smoke on a dark ocean. The ship moves from left to right, leaving a faint white wake behind it while casting vibrant fiery reflections onto the water surface below. In the lower right corner, a solitary small figure stands on a tiny floating vessel holding a small light source, observing the burning vessel. The background consists of a dark violet-toned sea beneath a muted twilight sky with a soft gradient near the horizon. The textured, painterly style emphasizes rich color contrasts between the deep blues of the water and the intense yellow and orange fire.
