Schön Magazine Alone, in the wild. 2025

About

This black-and-white editorial photograph, part of the project Alone, in the wild. for Schön Magazine by photographer Deid Garcia, captures a solitary figure standing upright inside a small boat on a tranquil body of water. The distant shoreline features rolling hills under a bright, overcast sky with subtle cloud details. Sunlight glints softly off the water surface, creating shimmering highlights and a gentle reflection of the boat and figure. The composition emphasizes a stark silhouette against the open horizon, evoking a quiet, contemplative atmosphere.
