WWD Weekend presents the March 2025 editorial feature, Fantasy! The Allure of Couture. This fashion publication centers on intricate, voluminous couture pieces, showcasing elaborate ruffles, floral appliqués, and sculptural silhouettes worn by model Aimee Byrne. Photographed by Szilveszter Mako, the series utilizes editorial portraiture techniques, leaning into a painterly aesthetic with earthy, desaturated tones. The visuals employ dramatic, muted lighting to emphasize the texture of the garments against dark, mottled backgrounds. Fashion editor and stylist Alex Badia curated the couture wardrobe, with hair styling by Pierpaolo Lai and makeup artistry by Luciano Chiarello. The project includes casting by Jussi Vuorenlehto, production by Siyan Chen, and art contributions by Pierre-Alexandre Fillaire.
