WWD presents Modern Times, an editorial feature exploring retro-modern menswear aesthetics through a series of studio-based portraits and minimalist still life studies. Photographer Andrés Jaña captures model Max Vespa in a collection of sharp tailoring, featuring houndstooth blazers, denim layering, and heavy leather overcoats styled by fashion editor Alex Badia. The project leans into clean, high-contrast visual compositions, utilizing chiaroscuro lighting and soft, even studio setups to highlight fabric textures like tweed and embossed leather. The editorial is rounded out by detailed accessory shots, including wristwatches and metallic hardware, captured with an editorial focus on graphic lines and minimalist staging. Kiyonori Sudo provided hair styling, with casting directed by Troy Westwood.
