Emotional Swirl is a fashion editorial produced for WRPD Magazine, centering on a series of character-driven portraits. Photographer Keiichiro Nakajima frames model Ansolet Rossouw against a variety of architectural backdrops, utilizing natural light to define textures ranging from supple leather and satin to weathered stone and urban glass. The project leans into a Clean and Gritty aesthetic, moving between sharp, high-contrast monochrome and warm, nostalgic color palettes. Fashion editor Elise Sandvik curates a selection of contemporary tailored apparel, including structured leather blazers, belted coats, and layered knitwear. The compositions are supported by precise grooming, featuring slicked-back hair by Shin Arima and natural makeup by Tomoyo Pattou, which maintain the focus on the interplay between the subject and the built environment.
