Satin Roads is a fashion editorial series produced for WRPD Magazine, capturing a dialogue between minimalist sartorial choices and urban architecture. Through a series of clean, vertical frames, the project highlights sharp tailoring and avant-garde accessories, placing subjects against textured concrete, stone, and industrial metal backdrops. Photographer Nina Raasch employs a distinct documentary-style aesthetic, utilizing natural light to cast deliberate shadows that accentuate the graphic quality of the styling. Saskia Jung’s work as fashion editor and stylist introduces a palette of monochrome contrasts and structural silhouettes, ranging from bandeau tops with draped accents to sculptural headpieces. The series carries a tactile quality, leaning into an analogue/film technique that bridges the gap between raw, gritty pavement settings and refined, minimalist fashion.
