Description

Vogue Turkey brings a masterclass in luxury editorial photography to life in this campaign for Cartier, where every frame serves as a testament to the precision of fine jewellery. Under the editorial guidance of Zeynep Akdoğan and the sharp lens of photographer Peter Ash Lee, the series explores the intersection of high-end accessories and modern fashion portraiture. The project leans into editorial minimalism, utilizing the strategic application of studio strobe lighting to emphasize the metallic sheen of iconic Cartier pieces like the Juste un Clou collection. Each image captures a sophisticated dialogue between the subjects and the jewellery, punctuated by the bold, signature red lip and slicked-back hair styling that defines the aesthetic. The work thrives on a clean, controlled environment, often employing high-contrast backgrounds—from deep, rich velvet to stark studio grey—that allow the gold and diamond textures to command absolute attention. With styling by Konca Aykan and artistry from hair stylist Rimi Ura and makeup artist Eny Whitehead, the production maintains a precise, polished finish across every frame. Whether capturing a macro detail of a diamond-encrusted ring or a relaxed model portrait, the project exemplifies a refined fashion sensibility that is both timeless and contemporary, effectively showcasing the House of Cartier through a lens of quiet, high-stakes elegance.
