Life Rituals is a fashion editorial series for Vogue Philippines, featuring a collection of sculptural and highly graphic portraits. Photographer Maria Magdalinou captures the subjects against stark, minimalist studio backdrops, utilizing clean, bright lighting to emphasize the interplay between form, attire, and curated props. The series leans into a conceptual aesthetic, bridging traditional photography with artistic techniques such as embroidery and analogue film processing to create textured, high-contrast imagery. Throughout the project, editorial styling focuses on bold silhouettes and primary color contrasts, with detailed focus on structural garment work. Hair stylist Cos Sakkas and makeup artist Dimitra Altani contribute to the refined, direct visual identity of the shoot, which serves to highlight the subject's physical range and the intersection of textile art and fashion photography.
