Vogue Mexico
Postales desde Peru

May 2026
Postales desde Peru for Vogue Mexico is a masterclass in editorial storytelling, seamlessly blending high-end fashion with the raw, cinematic grandeur of the Andean landscape. Through the lens of photographer Hans Neumann, the project unfolds as a visual travelogue that traverses the contrast between intimate, mood-lit train interiors and the expansive, sun-drenched terrains of Lake Titicaca. Fashion editor and stylist Angela Kusen curates a wardrobe that bridges the gap between minimalist luxury and local heritage, pairing crisp tailoring with traditional Andean textures. The project leans into a documentary-inspired aesthetic, utilizing natural light to elevate each composition—from the low-key chiaroscuro of historic interiors to the golden-hour glow across rolling arid hills. With casting by Morgan Senesi, model Sara Caballero brings a grounded, emotive presence to the imagery, appearing both as a refined traveler and an integrated part of the rugged environment. Techniques like diptych layouts and shallow depth of field are employed to heighten the narrative tension, emphasizing the duality between the subject and the vast surroundings. Ultimately, the work succeeds by avoiding the tropes of destination fashion, instead crafting a cohesive, evocative journey where the clothing and the Peruvian backdrop exist in a harmonious, cinematic dialogue that feels both timeless and deeply atmospheric.
