Vogue Latin America
Trazo Firme

Apr 2026
Trazo Firme, an evocative editorial campaign for Vogue Latin America, captures the intersection of high fashion and precise, avant-garde beauty aesthetics. Through a series of sharp, deliberate diptychs, photographer Amer Mohamad masterfully balances the austerity of luxury fashion with the fluidity of artistic makeup application. The project leans into a rigorous editorial minimalism, utilizing studio strobe lighting to carve out the dramatic contours of the model’s features against neutral, non-distracting backgrounds. Fashion Editor and Stylist Nour Bou ezz introduces a structural intensity to the narrative, layering statement pieces like gold floral collar necklaces and leather neck ornaments that demand attention through their geometric presence. This visual tension is further heightened by the intricate work of Makeup Artist Michel Kiwarkis, whose contribution—ranging from deep plum, textured lips to razor-sharp winged graphic eyeshadow—functions as a focal point of the series. By pairing extreme macro photography with poised portraiture, the project celebrates the architecture of the human face as a canvas for high-concept design. The use of clean typography and structured hair styling underscores a commitment to technical precision, making each frame feel like a deliberate, sculptural study. Ultimately, Trazo Firme succeeds by stripping away the superfluous, leaving only the essential elements of texture, line, and light to define the modern luxury identity within the pages of Vogue.
