Walking The Line is a fashion editorial series for Vogue Hong Kong, captured by photographer Tak Sugita. The project leans into a minimalist, brutalist aesthetic, utilizing geometric architectural elements and abstract installations to frame the subject, model Hanaka Hori. The series plays with a balance of high-contrast sunlight and clean, studio-lit compositions to highlight tactile textures and bold color palettes. With casting direction by Marina Fairfax, the project shifts between controlled indoor environments and raw outdoor stone plazas. The photography often employs an analogue film technique, incorporating natural light and soft grain to anchor the high-fashion styling against dynamic, structural backgrounds.
