Denim Vibes

Sep 2026
Vogue Greece explores the intersection of heritage textiles and modern tailoring in Denim Vibes, a compelling fashion editorial that recontextualizes workwear staples through a high-end lens. Captured by photographer Panos Davios, the project moves away from the glossy artifice of traditional studio fashion, opting instead for a textured narrative set against lush, sun-dappled grounds. The imagery leans into a cinematic mood, utilizing natural light and the distinct, rich grain of analogue film to ground the styling. Fashion editor George Karapetis leans into a sophisticated layering technique, pairing structured, oversized plaid tailoring with casual denim shirts to create an effortless aesthetic that feels both grounded and aspirational. Model Mathilde Lakjaer serves as the centerpiece of this transformation, with hair styling by Jose Quijano and makeup by Athina Karakitsou complementing the earthy, organic environment. By positioning flared blue denim and button-down silhouettes against weather-beaten stone and dense verdant foliage, the shoot cultivates an editorial minimalism that feels intentionally tactile. The juxtaposition of hard, directional light and soft, dappled shadows adds a layer of depth, elevating the collection beyond mere retail display. Ultimately, Denim Vibes functions as a masterclass in styling, proving that the juxtaposition of classic, rustic backdrops and refined fashion can create a compelling visual language that resonates deeply within the contemporary designer fashion landscape.
