Guadeloupe for Lido/Journal

Feb 2026
The Guadeloupe for Lido/Journal editorial campaign masterfully merges the raw, untamed allure of a tropical landscape with the sophisticated silhouettes of modern swimwear. Captured through the lens of photographer Jacques Brun, the project leans into a moody, reportage aesthetic that feels both intimate and expansive. By centering model Alicia Lindén Guinez against the dense, shadowed foliage and reflective riverbeds of Guadeloupe, the imagery achieves a striking visual equilibrium. The styling highlights a collection defined by vibrant color-blocked gradients and seamless ombre transitions, which pop with calculated intensity against the dark, mossy rocks and lush greenery of the background. Eschewing the high-gloss artifice often found in fashion photography, the work relies heavily on natural light to cast a soft, diffused glow that emphasizes texture—from the dampness of skin to the cool, stillness of the water. Each portrait acts as a bridge between high-end fashion and lifestyle storytelling, inviting the viewer into a quiet, immersive experience. The editorial minimalism present throughout the series ensures that the focus remains steadfastly on the interplay between the garments’ saturated palettes and the organic, earthy tones of the wilderness. This project successfully positions Lido/Journal as a brand that understands the narrative potential of natural light photography, creating an evocative lookbook that feels as much like an exploration of place as it does a showcase of design.
