C-DeSac the breaking bite is a conceptual fashion editorial series led by photographer Mark Pillai. The project explores themes of physical intimacy and sculptural form through a series of high-contrast monochrome portraits and diptych layouts. Set against stark, minimalist studio backgrounds, the imagery focuses on tactile interactions, featuring subjects posed with metallic jewelry, body rings, and abstract anatomical connections. Technically refined, the work relies on soft, diffused lighting and high-key tones to highlight skin texture and geometric composition. The editorial layout plays with grid-based framing, contact sheets, and sequential movement to document gestures and physical proximity, resulting in a graphic, avant-garde aesthetic.
