RTR - Black on Black is a fashion editorial series that focuses on high-contrast textures and monochrome silhouettes. The project leans into minimalist studio aesthetics, utilizing clean backgrounds to highlight architectural garment details like feather trims, sequins, and structured leather. Photographer Stefano Ortega directs the visual narrative, working alongside art director Byron Fredericks to maintain a sharp, polished look across the series. The production features model Lila Flowers, with makeup by Laramie and set design by Jesse Kaufmann, incorporating techniques such as chiaroscuro lighting and analogue-inspired film aesthetics to emphasize the interplay between form and shadow.
