Oribe Pride Campaign

Jun 2026
The Oribe Pride campaign serves as a powerful tribute to individuality and the artistry of self-expression within the haircare and beauty industry. Featuring a collection of striking portraits, the campaign leans into a high-glamour aesthetic that celebrates the intersection of heritage, identity, and creative freedom. Photographer Jonas Huckstorf masterfully captures this energy, moving between high-key studio strobe lighting that emphasizes clean, architectural silhouettes and more intimate, natural light portraits that dwell in soft, cinematic chiaroscuro. At the heart of the visuals is the meticulous work of hair stylist Joey George, who crafts elaborate, 1950s-inspired bouffants and gravity-defying braided crowns that function as sculptural masterpieces. Complementing this, makeup artist Steven Canavan delivers bold, theatrical looks that perfectly balance the polished retro-glamour vibe. The project, which includes iconic figures such as entertainer Amanda Lepore, utilizes a recurring 'Proud to Be' graphic motif to ground the editorial portraits in a celebratory, communal narrative. Through a deliberate blend of black-and-white photography and vibrant, stylized color overlays, the campaign avoids generic tropes, instead offering a sophisticated, textured look at modern beauty. The result is a cohesive, highly curated series that reinforces the brand's commitment to inclusive, professional-grade styling while maintaining a sharp, contemporary editorial edge that feels both nostalgic and distinctly forward-thinking.
