Castañer Espadrilles - S/S 26

Mar 2026
The Castañer Espadrilles S/S 26 campaign reimagines the storied heritage of the footwear brand through a lens of stark, architectural minimalism. Moving away from typical vacation-themed visuals, the project leans into an editorial aesthetic that prioritizes tactile materiality and structural geometry. Through the expert lens of photographer Lala Serrano, the campaign translates the artisanal quality of woven jute and soft suede into a series of highly composed, deliberate frames. Working in tandem with fashion editor and stylist Débora Traitè, the imagery balances high-fashion tailoring with the rugged, organic roots of the product. The studio work utilizes precise studio strobe lighting to emphasize the interplay between sharp, monochromatic outfits and the raw texture of rope and stone, creating a series of visual conversations between ancient shoemaking tools and contemporary design. Whether through macro studies of braided wedge soles or full-body editorial portraits, the collection captures an evolving identity for the brand, grounding it in a clean, sophisticated narrative. By focusing on graphic lines and balanced negative space, the campaign elevates the everyday sandal to an object of structural importance, effectively merging commercial appeal with an avant-garde editorial sensibility that defines modern fashion communication.
