About

Holding Legends is a fashion editorial series for Unprint Magazine that explores the intersection of high-concept styling and utilitarian everyday objects. Captured by photographer Maona Micoud, the project features model Yuanyuan Zhang in a sequence of minimalist, clean-lined environments that range from architectural urban backdrops to raw asphalt surfaces. Fashion editor Johanna Ankelhed contrasts sleek, oversized silhouettes with vibrant pops of color and textures, pairing structured luxury handbags with mundane grocery items like egg cartons, milk bottles, and fresh produce. The imagery, defined by soft, diffused natural light, focuses on the tactile interplay between glossy leather goods, metallic hardware, and industrial-inspired props. With set design by Camille Pouyat and hair styling by Andre Cueto Saavedra, the work maintains a restrained, graphic aesthetic across its various portraits and still-life compositions.
