U Repubblica presents 'Wandering,' a multi-part fashion editorial that juxtaposes studio minimalism with candid, documentary-style outdoor photography. The project features a series of portraits and street-level movement, highlighting textures through layered knitwear and classic outerwear. Photographer Ben Beagent and fashion editor Ricky van Gils develop a visual language rooted in earthy tones and deliberate motion, utilizing soft light and analogue film grain to ground the series in a naturalistic aesthetic. Captured across diverse settings—from controlled white studio backdrops to woodland and urban landscapes—the editorial focuses on fluid movement and raw materiality. Casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro, alongside hair stylist Chiao Chenet and makeup artist Maelys Jallali, contributes to a cohesive look that shifts between polished studio portraiture and a gritty, desaturated street-level perspective.
