Description

Paris 16e is a menswear editorial series for U Repubblica that explores the interplay between classic architectural forms and contemporary casual wear. The project juxtaposes tailored double-breasted blazers and structured Harrington jackets with relaxed-fit denim, sports jerseys, and tactile knitwear, grounding the styling in a domestic and outdoor context. Captured by photographer Winter Vandenbrink, the series makes deliberate use of hard natural sunlight and moody monochrome tones to emphasize garment texture and silhouette. Featuring models Henry Rank and Max Tate, the shoot was brought to life through the styling of Louise Ford, with casting direction provided by Nicolas Philippon and Piergiorgio Del Moro. The imagery leans into a clean, cinematic sensibility, balancing the rigidity of stone facades and paneled interior walls with candid, pensive expressions. The work remains anchored in an understated aesthetic, utilizing warm natural light to create a cohesive narrative across both studio and location portraiture.
