U Repubblica
Mediterráneo

May 2026
In the Mediterráneo campaign for U Repubblica, luxury fashion finds a grounded, salt-kissed expression through a series of evocative vignettes that celebrate the ease of Mediterranean life. Photographer Julia Noni leans into a classic, tactile aesthetic, capturing model Lars Jammaers across various coastal and urban locales. The project is firmly rooted in editorial lifestyle photography, utilizing analogue film techniques and high-key natural light to create high-contrast visuals that feel both spontaneous and meticulously composed. Fashion editor and stylist Tommaso Palamin curates a wardrobe that pivots seamlessly between relaxed, monochromatic linen silhouettes and bolder, structured suiting—such as a standout mustard yellow ensemble—anchoring the collection in a sophisticated yet approachable palette. With meticulous grooming provided by hair stylist Ryo Narushima and makeup artist Manuela Pane, the project balances the grit of a boardwalk portrait with the refined polish of high-end fashion. The resulting imagery reads as an ode to coastal leisure, where the textured surfaces of weathered concrete and cafe walls provide the perfect backdrop for the collection's play on proportion and color. By blending the raw intimacy of the editorial portrait with the aspirational tone of luxury fashion, the campaign effectively translates the warmth and vibrant spirit of its namesake region into a compelling, coherent visual narrative.
