Colourbox for U Repubblica is a masterclass in editorial minimalism, seamlessly blending high-concept fashion with an accessible, contemporary commercial aesthetic. The project, brought to life through the collaborative vision of creative director Ben Kelway and photographer Luca Strano, leans into a refined study of texture and chromatic contrast. By pairing structured, earth-toned utility pieces and linen tailoring with unexpected bursts of vibrant knitwear—ranging from electric yellow and lime green to saturated reds and pinks—the series creates a compelling visual rhythm. The styling, curated by Tommaso Palamin, emphasizes the tactile quality of the materials, from suede and canvas to intricate weaves, all captured under the soft, flattering illumination of studio strobe and ambient natural light. The project feels both grounded and aspirational, utilizing clean, off-white studio backdrops to ensure the focus remains entirely on the layering and the interplay of color. With model Guus Bracke at the center, the portraits channel a quiet, steady confidence that elevates the brand narrative, proving that minimalism does not have to mean a lack of personality. Through precise art direction and deliberate composition, the imagery transforms wardrobe staples into a cohesive, high-fashion statement that feels perfectly at home in the pages of a premium publication.
