Under Glass

Jun 2026
Under Glass, a compelling fashion editorial produced for Twin Magazine, masterfully blurs the lines between architectural photography and high-end portraiture. Through the lens of photographer Amie Milne and guided by the creative vision of Becky Smith, the project explores a serene dialogue between the human form and its surroundings. The editorial leans into a sophisticated, minimalist aesthetic, utilizing expansive glass-walled interiors and clean, neutral palettes to frame the model, Luca Gajdus, in a series of contemplative, editorial portraits. Fashion editor and stylist Holly Gorst curated a wardrobe that emphasizes tactility and structure—featuring intricate lace, fringe, and layered ruffles—which serves as a soft counterpoint to the rigid, geometric lines of the modern glass architecture. The imagery makes consistent use of natural light, often captured through diffuse, soft-focus exposures that accentuate the subtle textures of the garments and the model's calm, introspective gaze. With casting by Megan McCluskie and refined finishing touches from hair stylist Tomi Roppongi, makeup artist Claire Urquhart, and manicurist Hayley Evans Smith, the project achieves a seamless, ethereal quality. By integrating elements of lifestyle photography into a luxury fashion context, Under Glass creates a visual narrative that feels both precise and remarkably fluid, highlighting the interplay between interior design and the tactile elegance of contemporary luxury fashion.
