Tom Ford
Winter 2024 Ad Campaign

Aug 2024
The Tom Ford Winter 2024 campaign is a masterclass in urban isolation and high-fashion tension, set against the dramatic, sprawling backdrop of Shanghai. Through the lens of photographer Robin Galiegue and the vision of film director Zhang Qingyun, the project leans into a cinematic, high-contrast aesthetic that perfectly mirrors the house's signature blend of luxury and severe, modern minimalism. The campaign captures an enigmatic cast—including models Meng Yu Qi, Fei Fei Sun, and Rianne Van Rompaey—navigating the city’s vast, neon-lit corridors and metallic urban landscapes with a detached, editorial poise. Utilizing live-action techniques and slow motion to juxtapose static subjects against the blur of frantic city life, the imagery creates a deliberate sense of scale. Stylist Marie Chaix defines the silhouette with sharp, military-inspired coats, plush faux fur, and form-fitting evening wear, all accessorized with the iconic metallic hardware that punctuates the Tom Ford identity. With lighting choices ranging from moody, low-key chiaroscuro to crisp, high-key architectural illumination, the project masters the interplay of light and shadow. The resulting narrative is both sophisticated and atmospheric, placing the collection within a gritty, global context that feels inherently cool, calculated, and distinctly aligned with the brand's unapologetically sleek legacy in the fashion industry.
